(Textures 2020) The Story of the Redscarf 辛苦了，红头巾 (Chinese Storytelling for Kids)
Illustrator and author Patrick Yee (余广达), will read from his latest picture book The Story of the Redscarf. Written in a witty, light-hearted style and accompanied by eye-catching illustrations, it aims to introduce life of the previous generations to the young of today. Kids will be invited to connect with their roots by dressing up in Chinatown-themed costumes of Samsui women, ma jies (nannies) and coolies in the 1950’s. Bring your children along for a unique heritage experience and an unforgettable morning! Suitable for audiences 9 years and above.
